All around the world, hundreds of IRC ( Internet Relay Chat ) servers are awaiting your connection. These servers have thousands of channels with millions of users. Many of these channels are used to transfer files. With an IRC client, you can join one of these servers and monitor their channels for files to download. With Avarice, you can join all of the servers and have it watch the channels for you. When it finds a downloadable file, it adds it to a list.
